With Halloween come and gone (well almost) it is time to start looking toward the most amazing time of the year... the Christmas season.
I say season because I am one of those that start thinking about Christmas as soon as Halloween is over. Don't worry I am not going to throw up a tree tonight or anything but the madness will begin. Also, the month of November is such a fun month for us I look forward to this time of year all year long. First things first, Thanksgiving. Love Thanksgiving! For as long as I can remember Thanksgiving has been a very important day with our family. It's that one day where you just hang out, eat, drink and watch football. I love making food for dinner and enjoying time with the family playing board games and making fun of each other. Yes, that is our family. Anyways, Thanksgiving is one of the my favorites!

The day after Thanksgiving I get up at 3am and hit the stores to get the best deals... wait, who am I kidding! Generally, I've had to much to drink the day before to get out of bed by 9am. I am definitely not one of the crazies that does that Black Friday nonsense that is for sure. We spend the day after Thanksgiving cutting down our Christmas tree. Last year we had to make a few adjustments with Chris coming home on leave on December 23th so we went that day but every other year we go the day after Thanksgiving. This year since he is home will be no different. Then its a fast forward to Chris' birthday and our anniversary at the end of November :)
And then it's December and Christmas cheer is in full force. Also in December I finally gradate :) So much to be thankful for! So as of this weekend the madness will begin. I say madness but not in a bad way... it's just crazy busy this time of year but I love all of it. Especially since we get to do all the family gatherings and get-togethers with Chris home. We are very thankful to have Chris home this year but lets remember all the troops who will spend this Christmas season away from their families. God Bless them all!
