While in the kitchen this morning I overheard Audrey talking to herself in the other room about Chris. I listened for awhile and smiled then quickly realized I wanted to get it on video. She was preparing a gift for Chris and this is what I walked into. She has no concept of time or what is exactly going on. These are the conversations her and I have daily and it is still so hard for her to understand the full aspect of everything.
She is very resilient and adjusting well but it breaks my heart when she asks for Chris or tries to understand where he is and I run out of things to say. We will probably leave those hearts on the treadmill for Chris when he gets home. She would love that!
