Oh, Audrey!

A few things in the last few days make me realize how lucky I am to be a mother to a smart little 3 year old, make me laugh and make me miss Chris eve more. When I picked up Audrey from school yesterday her teacher told me that Audrey had sat down at the writing center and said she needed hearts and needed to draw for her dad because he loves hearts! It made my heart melt! Audrey says these things to me all the time but to know she goes to school thinking about him makes me so happy. I was nearly in tears when she told me this! She misses him so much!

While getting ready for bed the other night Audrey had a glass of milk, took a huge drink and then said to me, ""I love to drink cows milk when they pee it out. Why does their pee taste so good?" I mean I guess this makes sense when you are 3 years old but oh my, I was dying laughing. And after asking such a serious question she seen I was laughing so she joined in laughing and the next thing I knew we were both nearly crying because we were laughing so hard (I still don't know if Audrey knew why she was laughing) I tried to explain the concept to her but at 3 years old, cows peeing out milk makes much more sense.

Audrey's friend Taylor was over visiting last week while I was talking in the living room with her mom. Audrey went into use the restroom which is something she can do by herself and came out to tell me the toilet would not flush. Panicked I went to investigate. I assumed she put about 35 baby wipes down the toilet and that was reason it would not flush properly. So here are 4 girls trying to get this toilet figured out. After using the plunger, the toilet overflowing, me trying to find the emergency water shut off thing, using a lot of towels, a big mess, I thought I had the toilet figured out. This would have been much easier for a man I know it! Chris would have had that toilet figured out within minutes but it took us girls about a half hour. After all was said and done turns out the toilet was not fixed. For days now it would not flush right all the time, all the water would not completely drain out and I had the back off the toilet numerous times! Ah, I was so over it! Well today after wrestling with the plunger again a purple paintbrush suddenly appeared. Really Audrey?!!

What do you know suddenly the toilet is fixed. I asked Audrey about it and she proceeded to tell me she put it in there. I was not happy but at least the problem was fixed with any major repair issues. Oh, just another day in the Miller house :)
