Oh my, seven weeks! But this was kind of a long and rough 7th week. Time is beginning to drag and affect everyone. I feel like every weekly post is the same but I guess that is a good thing to know that our routine is in place.
Week #7 included Valentines Day and the flowers Chris had delivered to my work are prettier everyday. The first day it took some time for them to open up (I guess that is what happens when you have flowers FedExed) :) But they are beautiful and it is amazing how some sunshine and spring flowers in the house make me feel better!
We finally received the post card Chris sent Audrey way back in January. We thought it got lost in the mail but turns our Chris wrote the address in the wrong spot and it probably went on a trip around the world until it arrived home with a big yellow sticker that said "UNDELIVERABLE".
But it didn't matter how long it took Audrey was so excited to receive mail from her dad!
We translated it to "when will it finally be summer?" How fitting because we cannot wait until summer!
Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Pat invited Audrey and I over for lunch this week! It was really nice to visit and get out of the house :) And of course there were gifts!
Playing with Baby Emma's toys!
Family Fun!
As for the running, I finally got a decently long run in last Saturday... a 10 miler! But I felt really good which is a good sign. Other than that not a largely productive running week. 25 miles isn't to bad I suppose!! I fell at work on Friday and ended up with a nice little war wound but its healing nicely now just trying not to go to hard on it.
This upcoming week should give me more opportunities for longer runs for the marathon!
Team Miller!!
When I talked to Chris this week he mentioned that he is not eating enough for the amount of calories being burned at the gym (must be working on the beach body for his ol' lady) Anywho, I am trying to send more food and meals to him and anyone who is sending a package if you want to include Ramen noodles, ravioli meals, snacks, protein bars or shakes, granola bars, anything like that I am sure he would love it!!
Mail is taking much longer than I expected to get to Chris in Afghanistan so we are working on sending out our St. Pattys Day care package soon! Even though we sent our Valentines Day crafts and goodies out in January he did not receive them until a few days after Feb. 14th! Bummer! But I know he was still excited to receive mail from home. So now its lots of letters and as much stuff as I have time to get out.
So another week has come and gone. Rumors are that our soldiers homecoming may be sooner than we thought! But I also take this with warning. I have been doing this long enough to know how the military works! Our countdown stands until October and if we get to end early than it will be wonderful but I can't get my heart set on it. One week at a time until Audrey's daddy comes home :)
