Gargac 4th of July Party

It is that time of year again for the annual 4th of July camp out! Every year my uncle and his family open up their yard and house for a summer family camp out. We bring tents, food, bathing suits, and well... that's about it! That's all we need! Although this year we did not stay (couldn't leave Hudson home alone over night) we still had a great weekend!

Lots of pictures and it is great to see the majority of my mom's very large family! My grandparents had 13 kids! 13 kids?? Can you even imagine?! So that makes for a lot of cousins and now even more babies are being born as we start getting older. It's great because a lot of the family lives in this area and so these cookouts are always so fun. Every year there is a theme and this year it was safari! I mean this is my uncle's driveway... yea we kinda go all out!

And my other uncles golf cart

Basically the weekend was filled with sunshine, pool, hot pool (as Audrey calls it) trampoline, and catching up with family :)

Blue cupcakes with Uncle Mitch

Babies in the pool

Speaking of babies there are 3 new babies in the family this summer! How fun! My sister and 2 other cousins welcomes babies and they sure were the main attraction at the party!

I love it! Taking care of my baby fever right there :)

To bad Audrey was to busy drinking her Icee to pay attention because this would have been really cute

Cass will probably kill me for posting this picture (something about she just had a baby and didn't want to wear a bathing suit) lol not but I love it! Especially because of our red, white and blue bathing suits :)

We ended up going home late after a fire and a lot of family time (luckily we live like 2 minutes away). After breakfast this morning, a walk with Hudson and packing our suits back up we headed out for another day by the pool.

Aunt Kim, Grandma, Audrey and her buddy for the weekend my cousin, Cadence.

Great weekend! So great to see everyone and relax in the sun! No complaints here :) But of course the first question from everyone was, "How is Chris?" He would have been there with us this weekend and  at one time I looked around and it made me sad to know he couldn't be there with us. But I gave the rundown to everyone on how he is, when he's coming home, how Audrey and I, etc. A few times as my Uncle Mitch's iPOD playlist was going (he just retired from the military) I got teary eyed as there was a whole lot of Toby Keith, motivational songs, country music, etc. everything that makes me think of Chris. As we were getting ready to leave today a few of my aunts called me over and said, "Britt, you are such a good mom. We were just talking about you" And as I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes I just smiled and said thank you. They said, "you do such a great job with Audrey..." I don't know if they realize what that meant but sometimes it is so good to hear those kinds of things. We are under excruciating circumstances and I do the best I can. Maybe I don't give myself enough credit. Well enough with that I don't really want to cry tonight... This last weekend was so great! And looking forward to the next week we are headed to my dad's tomorrow for the 4th and Columbus at the end of the week. Busy, busy Miller girls but it makes the deployment go by that much faster!

And I almost forgot! It is July!! Oh my, can you believe today is July 1st?! Tomorrow will be 6 months since we have seen Chris (FaceTime & Skype don't really count in my book) But really its been 6 months! And we are very busy through July so hopefully we move right along into August and then before we know it September will be here :)
