Hellllooo July!! We are here finally to July!! Last week was pretty routine during the week and then we spent the weekend at our family 4th of July party. Check out this post for pictures from a great weekend :) So this post will be short and to the point... it July, actually July! I cannot believe that we are half way through the summer and 3/4 of the way through deployment! We only have August and part of September left and he will be home :) Gives me chills just thinking about it! Although in Afghanistan it seems as if the days are long and hot... probably unbearable at times so my excitement has not been shared by Chris lately. He says July will be a long month there :/ But we have to keep pushing forward until life can settle down a little bit once he gets home.
Currently Audrey and I are spending a few days up North at my dads. Life is easy up here. 20 acres of country living, quads, campfires and sunshine! A great way to spend the 4th of July! We got some pretty bad storms last night and this morning so we are headed out to play in the mud and catch frogs in the pond (again, Audrey should have been a boy!) At the end of the week we are headed to Columbus to visit the zoo, water park and aquarium down there as well as visit some friends and family. Should be a great week! Although it still is not the same without Chris. Nothing we do is the same. Buuuut I have to keep reminding myself that this is almost over and life WILL get back to normal one he gets home. He swears in for his reenlistment this week and we only have a few more months to go on this deployment! We are getting there!
"Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances."
Have a great 4th of July everyone I will check back in this week :)
