Since we were out of town last week and I did not do a whole lot of cooking, here is last weeks new recipe entry! Found this on Pinterest (where I find a good portion of my new recipes) but I am so glad I stumbled upon this! We love to camp and Audrey loves s'mores so I wanted to try this spin on a traditional s'mores.
I put these together on the 4th after fireworks in the dark as we had lost power due to the storm. So while holding a flashlight there was no room for a camera but this is the finished product.
Ingredients:
Bananas
Chocolate (I used Hersey bars but chocolate chips would work better)
Marshmallows (use mini marshmallows)
Graham crackers (could use chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers too)
Possibilities are endless!
Slice the bananas long ways then load them with chocolate and marshmallows. I added graham crackers now to but next time I will just use them to scoop the creation out. Either way they were great! Simply wrap each individual banana in aluminum foil and throw on the fire!
Is that me tending the fire? Chris would be so proud!
Super easy and so good!
And that is it! Everything melts together and you can eat it right out of the foil. Use either a fork or more graham crackers and it was a hit with the kids! Great recipe to remember for our next camping trip... I love summer!!
