Oh, what a whirlwind of emotions this last week! After Audrey's meltdown about the Pillowcase Project last week a few days later she loved it!! I felt so bad after that because I felt like I had made the situation worse with Chris being gone. So I left the pillow sitting on the couch not saying anything about it for a few days and what do you know she warmed up to it!! One evening she asked what it was doing there and then out of the blue just went up to it and gave it a kiss. Then she got really excited and said, "its like dad is here with me!" (mission accomplished) "It is like dad is looking at me!" I assured her that it was just a pillow so she was still in touch with reality but she loves it now! This has made life easier for both Chris and I because when Audrey is struggling I know he worries too. Here is a video later in the evening... obviously she was wound up and it was late but we were both excited that she loves her pillow now and sleeps with it everynight.
