Facebook status update from one of the guys in Afghanistan with Chris:
"FRG,stay the fuck out of ARMY STUFF, you are to help the familys at home if they need there grass cut and stuff like that,Maybe you should go watch the movie "we were SOLDIERS".Back in the states what you did was called inducing Panic, Because when you call a Wife or Mother and tell them that soldiers have been Hurt and than say it was not yours what would you think>the Army has been know to lie about things like this. You are to help our Familys not Induce Panic,so take care of getting the grass mowed and other things and leave the soldering stuff to Us the army has been notifing familys for alot longer than the FRG has been around leave it to them, and our familys will be just fine. cause when you tell them info about a whole differnt company and they get all worked up than we are left to fix it,NOT COOL stay with the stuff at HOME and we will do our Job much better if you stay out of it."
I had to share this status because I could not agree more. This goes back to the A dreaded phone call post where the families were called and read some brief that no one understood and they absolutely induced panic on families here for no reason. I could not understand why I was ever called in the first place as many families are now wondering. I spent an entire day and night thinking, crying, wondering what was happening with my soldier for no reason and until I was able to talk to Chris I had no idea what was going on. I know the FRG means well but I spent a few days in a fog for no reason. My soldier was safe and panic was induced for no reason. My heart now drops every time the phone rings because I have no idea who will be on the other end.
