At our old house the city would pick up our recyclables at the curb with the trash. Simple, convenient, and doable. We had a separate bin for recyclables like most and I would just throw them in there. But when we moved here the city does not pick up the recyclables so I stopped recycling. I know, I know, not good. It was just quicker and easier to throw everything in the trash and be done with it. We live 1.4 miles from Pearson park... I know because I run it daily which means that I am Pearson quite a few times a week and they have a recycling center. So there really is no excuse for us to not recycle. Even if I drive the recyclables there and run, it really is not an inconvenience. So my latest project for Audrey... to start recycling!
I grabbed one of these storage bins at Kmart. Just a few labels and our recycling center is done!
Audrey is now learning which recyclable goes in which bin and each week we will drive these to Pearson to recycle! I have been wanting to do this for awhile I am glad I finally got it done!
My mom would kill me if she knew I hadn't been recycling for this long!
