After a long, busy and stressful week and weekend I was excited about just hanging out at home and doing nothing today. Audrey and I watched cartoons, did crafts, and hung out all day.
While I was in the kitchen making Audrey some lunch I noticed it became very quiet and this is what I walked into :) I found Audrey sleeping half sitting up and Hudson guarding her as she sleeps.
This was my opportunity to get the house picked up and work on my organization. While Audrey was sleeping I found Oliver sleeping with her some time later. It is like they take care of her while Chris is gone :) Even though I want to kill both of them sometimes (Hudson and Oliver that is) they are so wonderful to Audrey!
After Audrey woke up and we had lunch we did some painting and crafts.
This paper plate craft was suppose to be a leprechaun with an orange beard but as she got going with the orange she said it had to be Simba! And she is right, it does look like a lion!
So we would make it into a lion
Googly eyes of course!
Her favorite! Simba!
We painted for awhile longer then she went and played with Donna so I could go to the grocery store.
After dinner we threw some dessert together.
Cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla!
A roll of chocolate chip cookie dough on the bottom and pour the mixture on top!
And then we ran out of enough cookie dough to go on the top but it didn't matter it turned out really good! A half hour in the oven and done!
You are suppose to refrigerate it and cut it into bars..mmm. But we didn't have time for that so we scooped it out into bowls once it cooled. Added some ice cream and we were happy campers.
After bath it was time to find out how it was.
I guess that means she liked it!
Who cares if it is 8pm and I am sugaring her up :)
It doesn't happen every night!
While I was finishing up the dishes and had my back turned Audrey took that lovely dessert and took it from semi presentable to this... She said it was soup! Oh lord!
Eh, whatever I wasn't planning on taking it anywhere. It should still settle and I should be able to cut it up into bars... I hope.
After a good brushing of the teeth and book Audrey was off to bed. I watched the season premiere of Army Wives and only cried once. Not a tear jerking premiere but I cried while just watching the previews for Coming Home next week. Chris and I would watch that and I would be a sobbing hysterical mess. I felt sick most Sunday nights because I was crying so hard... and that was when Chris wasn't deployed... Ahhh Sunday nights are going to be rough. But cannot miss this season since I have been watching the show for years.
So after a very long week Audrey and I had a fantastic Sunday together! Ready to start another week on this journey through our deployment!
