Mother's Day

This past weekend for Mother's Day was amazing! After my last final exam Saturday morning Audrey and I enjoyed an entire weekend outside enjoying the weather :) I think we get this from my mother but both Audrey and I love being outside and got our flowers planted this weekend as well.

Audrey's made these Mother's Day flower pots for the specials mothers in our lives.

She also helped me plant our flowers out front.

With some left over dirt I then filled a hole in the yard that Hudson had dug. When I turned around Audrey had take the watering can and filled the hole with water which in turn made...

 ...mud.

Then she moved her slide over to the mud and it became that much more fun!

She definitely is not a girlie girl! And both Chris and I love it! She has dirty fingernails, messy hair, and muddy clothes on a daily basis but she has fun! Wouldn't change it for anything :)

So much fun!

But eventually I had to spray her off with the hose before taking her to the bathtub and throw away her clothes and get ready to go to grandmas for Mother's Day!

What a wonderful and restful weekend Mother's Day weekend was. I got to talk to Chris on Mother's Day which made my day but when Monday at work a present that I was not expecting arrived.
A Keurig! I have been staring at these in the stores for months but I would never buy myself something like this! Between Chris and Alyssa they pulled it off without me even knowing!

Mother's Day was a success! Just relaxation and family time :) A wonderful Mother's Day present from Chris and a lot of time with Audrey over the weekend. Being a mother can be the hardest job but the most rewarding job in the world. Being a temporary single mom is sometimes the most stressful thing I have ever done. This past weekend has made me take everything in everyday and even though we are waiting patiently for Chris to come home and we all want the time to fly I try and take in every single day with Audrey because she isn't going to be little forever.
