Well rumor has it that the guys will be back around Octoberish but anyone who knows anything about the military knows that could mean July or that could mean December. Without a definite return date Audrey and I need something to look forward to so how about her 4th birthday, October 25th?! Perfect! Our "official" countdown to Daddy coming home is October 25th! (Until we hear differently) That is about 299 days from the day he left and hopefully he is home before that! It is all about visual aids when you are 3... so we will simply use jars and count gems to keep track. Helps her with her counting and also shows how long dad has been gone and how long until he is home.... Such a simple idea but will be very helpful with visualizations for Audrey...

And we are done... Audrey also helped me count them into the containers and we will transfer one gem per day and quickly the jar on the right will start to dwindle :)
