A good day!

Today was great, I mean other than my neighbor starting his house on fire and me getting stung by a bee it was great! No but it really was. I am not allergic to bees so I'd rather get stung by a bee than Audrey have to. It hurts, is a little sore but otherwise no big deal. And the neighbor... well I don't know the whole story there but rumor has it he started his house on fire because he was getting evicted. Either way it wasn't close enough to cause any danger to us but Audrey did enjoy the 5 fire trucks! Saturday afternoon at its best! We were actually sitting outside FaceTiming Chris when it was all happening and as everyone started to disperse I said "the only thing going on here now is that I am getting checked out by firefighters" Audrey chimed in with "and I am getting checked out by policemen" She didn't know what I was talking about lol But that was the most excitement we have seen ever here. Of course Chris was like, "I thought that was a safe neighborhood" lol we are safe here just some crazy drunk lit his house on fire!

But before all the excitement I got tons of stuff done around the house early then had lunch with Cheech, Taylor and Summer! Those kids are nuts together but it's always a nice break to get together with Cheech. And we seen an old friend from high school so lunch was a success. Audrey and I then went shopping for a slip n slide and lawn chair and came home with a hammock! It is great! Audrey calls it "the relaxer" and indeed it is. We both love and I know Chris will too!

I love the weekends because we are able to FaceTime Chris. Generally, during the week we don't get home until close to 6 which makes it the middle of the night for Chris in Afghanistan. But weekends we are home during the day and if he is available he is able to call... like I said before technology is such an amazing thing! So he could watch Audrey on her slip n slid and trampoline and I was able to talk to him! That is bound to make any military wife happy :) Seeing him smile when he watches Audrey makes my day!

Tomorrow is suppose to be just as nice into the 90s. A lot of people hate this weather but I would take 90 degrees over 60 any day. Audrey and I love it! So tomorrow there will be a lot of laying out, water fun and homework! What a great summer weekend! If Chris was here he would have cooked on the grill today and we would have probably had a fire tonight (neither of which I feel comfortable doing) but all in due time. Hey, it is June already! It will be September before we know it!
